Quality Control: How We Inspect Every Slab Before Shipping

Quality Control: How We Inspect Every Slab Before Shipping

Why Inspection Matters More Than the Stone Itself

Natural stone is, by definition, variable. Even premium blocks contain fissures, tone shifts and natural characteristics. What separates a reliable supplier from a risky one is not the quarry — it is the discipline of inspection. A slab that leaves our factory passes four separate checkpoints, each documented with photos.

Stage 1: Wet and Dry Light Inspection

Every slab is first inspected dry under strong factory lighting, then wetted to reveal hidden fissures and color movements that only appear when the stone is saturated. Hairline cracks invisible on a dry polished surface become clearly visible when wet — this single step eliminates most after-installation surprises.

Stage 2: Thickness Calibration Check

Using calibrated measuring points across a grid pattern, we verify thickness tolerance at multiple positions on each slab. For 18mm and 20mm material, our export standard is ±0.5mm. Out-of-tolerance slabs are re-calibrated or rejected — never shipped silently.

Stage 3: Surface and Edge Quality

  • Polish quality verified with a gloss meter against the agreed standard.
  • Edges checked for chipping from the gang-saw and polishing line.
  • Resin-treated areas inspected for uniformity and adhesion.
  • Tone matching confirmed against the approved reference slab for the same order.

Stage 4: Packing and Loading Supervision

Approved slabs are packed in fumigated wooden bundles with foam or plastic sheets between polished faces. During container loading, we photograph every bundle position and bracing arrangement. Customers receive a complete loading record — so if anything is damaged in transit, responsibility is documented at every step.

Our Promise to Buyers

You will always see what you are buying: slab photos before packing, video calls during selection, and full loading documentation. Quality control is not a department in our factory — it is the product itself.
